Hanoi Celebrates 1000th Anniversary

When the clock stroke 0800 on October 1, 2010, a drum was sounded at Ly Thai To Flower Garden marking the beginning of a 10 days celebration of Hanoi's 1000th annivesary. Different stages of the celebration will be held in different locations and temples throughout Hanoi.

At night thousands of people gathered at Hoa Kiem lake to witness the display of fireworks and laser lights.

On September 25, 2010, the Sriwijaya State College Of Buddhism held it's 4th graduation ceremony in Tangerang, Indonesia. 27 graduates from Central Java, East Java, Lampung, Palembang, Kalimantan and Sulawesi received their rolls during the ceremony. The college had also accepted 84 new students for it's new semester.
