The Vowz Bar in Tokyo was opened in 2005. The uniqueness of this bar is that it is fully run by Buddhist monks. Everyday at 10pm, the bar co-founder and spiritual leader, Gugan Taiguchi, a blind monk gives a short lecture and responds to problems raised by the bar customers.
