Wooden Temple Of Japan

Horyu-ji Temple was built in the 13th century and is the oldest wooden temple in Japan. The temple is made up of two areas, a five storey pagoda and Kondo Hall ( Golden Hall )in the western part and the Yumedono Hall ( Hall of Dreams ) in the eastern part of the complex.

The temple keeps about 100 highly artistic Buddhist objects and sculptures ,some of them were kept here since the days Buddhism was introduced in Japan. It offers spectacular view to visitors during the cherry blossom season.
