She was popular in TV drama in Hong Kong in the 80s and 90s. She retired from acting in the early 2000s but returned to film a drama for HK ATV in 2008. Being a devout Buddhist, she is a vegetarian and now runs a vegetarian restaurant called Cute Fei in Tsim Sha Sui, Hong Kong

She was interviewed in her restaurant by a TV station. In the interview she said that when her acting contract was up for extension, her husband wanted her to quit acting but not believing she would actually quit her profession, her husband teased her that she wouldn't never leave the TV station. Feeling challenged, she decided to quit and later opened her vegetarian restaurant
