Hailing from Taiwan, she was very popular in Hong Kong in the 80s and early 90s but has since retired from showbiz. She is a devout Buddhist. In June 2009, it was reported in Hong Kong that she has gone to a monastery in Vancouver, Canada to become a nun. However another report surfaced later claiming that her ex-beau Chyi Chin who managed to contact her uncle was told that the news about her becoming a nun was not true. So far she has yet to be seen in public. Perhaps she might have become a nun afterall.
