On April 5, Buddhists in Rach Soi in the city of Rach Gia in Kien Giang province in Vietnam had a ceremony to welcome a Buddha relic. Hundreds of devotees and monks gathered at An Hoa park where the relic would be enshrined, to welcome and to worship the relic. To avoid any controversy over excessive spending, the Buddha relic was welcomed in An Hoa park in a modest but well attended ceremony.
