Vesak In Malaysia

Vesak Day celebration is held every year in the Maha Vihara Buddhist temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This year the celebration was graced by the attendance of Prime Minister of Malaysia ( a Muslim ). He is the 3rd PM of Malaysia to ever attended a Vesak celebration. The temple also had the presence of British celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay who prepared a dish of mixed vegetables and milk rice for the PM. It was reported that there was a little commotion in the temple this morning when reporters and photographers as well as visitors rushed to take a glimpse at the chef upon seeing him standing waiting for the PM at one corner.

A Malaysian Buddhist song titled " Wesak Dawn " which was first released in the mid 80s
