A 9 member committee of the National Film Association of Thailand has unanimously selected the movie "Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives" to represent Thailand to compete in the Foreign Film category in the upcoming Oscar. The horror movie which carries the reincarnation theme won the Best Film in the Cannes Film Festival in May 2010.
